Now’s your chance.
Hey! Food is Ready, the platform connecting talented chefs with hungry companies, is creating a one-of-a-kind cookbook—a love letter to home kitchens, secret spice blends, and the memories simmering behind every dish. We’re inviting UK-based cooks, chefs, and food storytellers from all walks of life to be part of it.
Whether you host bustling supper clubs or quietly carry your grandmother’s recipes in your heart, we want to hear from you.
Submission Deadline:
1pm, 20th July, 2025
We are looking for:
UK-based individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Supper club hosts, street food wizards, home kitchen heroes, or anyone with a love for cooking.
People who cook from memory, from tradition, or from feeling.
You don’t need to be a professional chef—just someone with a powerful story told through food.
Selected Contributors Will:
Be featured in the Hey! Food is Ready cookbook, which will be distributed in bookshops across the UK, Europe, Australia, and North America, as well as in gift shops.
Gain increased exposure and receive professional documentation of your food story.
Be considered for future catering opportunities through our platform.
Have the opportunity to host a supper club or pop-up event during the official book launch.
Timeline
20 July, 2025 – Applications Close
Make sure to submit your recipes, story, and photos by this date.
Late July to Early August, 2025 – Selection Process
We’ll review all submissions and contact selected contributors for a short follow-up chat if needed.
August to September, 2025 – Story & Recipe Development
Selected chefs will work with our editorial team to finalise content. We’ll also arrange photography sessions, either in a studio or at your home, depending on your location.
October to November, 2025 – Book Design & Production
Your stories and recipes will be professionally edited, designed, and prepared for print.
March 2026 – Book Launch & Supper Clubs
The cookbook will be published and launched with events, tastings, and supper clubs, offering contributors a chance to showcase their food.
